Veneno means poison. Bianco makes it white, and that’s the whole trick. French Avenue opens VENENO Bianco with bergamot and neroli, then pours in milk, which is not something you expect to smell on skin, and it works. The heart turns floral fast: tiare, ylang-ylang and white flowers, heavy and a little tropical, never sweet for the sake of it. Then the base settles. Coconut, vanilla, guaiac wood and labdanum give it a warm, smoky-creamy finish that sticks around on fabric and skin well into the evening. It’s unisex because the notes don’t care who wears them.
